  1. Since you're already a homeopathic doctor in India, I'd check with the Society of Homeopathic Medicine (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl... the various universities*, as well as the Spanish Medical Council.

I've included a few other resources, in case they offer information you didn't already come across.

Clearly, your question stumps most Yahoo! Answers users. I'm a homeopath in the U.S., in practice for 30 years. This is what I found out.

There are several associations linked to complementary / alternative medicine in Spain. Since 1996, the Spanish Medical Council has supported complementary/alternative medicine (including homeopathy), provided its practitioners are licensed physicians. There are about 1,000 homeopaths in practice. The Government recognizes homeopathic pharmacy. The remedies are sold only in pharmacies.

Homeopathy was introduced into Spain in the beginning of the 19th century. The first Spanish homeopathic hospital, the Fundacion Instituto Homeopatico y Hospital de San Jose in Madrid, was founded in 1878. The Academia Medico Homeopatica de Barcelona was founded in 1890. There is an outpatient homeopathic clinic at the Hospital del Nen Deu of Barcelona.

By 1900, homeopathy was "tolerated" in Spain, although the number of practitioners was already declining. An international meeting was held in Barcelona in 1924, but homeopathy continued to decline through the Spanish Civil War and World War II. Interestingly, the timing of homeopathy's decline in Span parallels that in the U.S, when the popularity and efficacy of homeopathic doctors simultaneously gained popularity and momentum with happier patients and opposition from conventional practitioners.

Again, paralleling the pattern in the U.S., with the rise of interest in alternatives in the 1970s, Spanish interest in homeopathy began to grow. By 1980 there were a few groups with ties to South America, Eizayaga, and Ortega. There was an influx of pharmacies, run by the French and German industry - most of them selling complexes. The Sociedad Espanola De Medicina Homeopatica (Spanish Society of Homeopathic Medicine) was founded in 1996, to help make the practice of homeopathy official. It represents all homeopathic associations.

I hope this helps. Best wishes.
