  1. look it up on the web or the red cross site and find your local chapter. if it has a site then it should tell you whether or not they offer lifeguarding classes. theres different certifications in pool, waterpark, and waterfront which is lakes and rivers. your local ymca usually offers classes too. wherever you take it though make sure they're all red cross classes becuase all employers only accept red cross trained and certified guards. along with the guard class youll be trained and cert. in cpr, first aid, and heart defib.

be ready though becuase in the class youll have to pass a physical and written test. if your a good swimmmer then the physical parts easy. if you pay attention in class then so will the written test

    good luck though!!

  2. contact the Red Cross, or your local YMCA

  3. retarded indian. im reporting u moran

  4. In canada (i believe its relitivaly the same)

    you need

Bronze Star (not mandatory but it helps)

    Bronze Medallion

    Bronze Cross

    NLS(national lifeguard service)

and most pools require that you teach so you will need

    AWSI(assistant water safety instructor)

    WSI (water safety instructor)
