How to get links to my blog?

Question

I'm new at the blogging thing, and have recently created two blogs. I understand the key to success as being getting as many quality inbound links as possible. What are the best websites to do this? when i post things on others' blogs is it appropriate to include my blog's name? thanks!

If you are posting to other peoples blogs make sure to not spam. Genuinely add value with your comment and add your url...sure. However those UR L's are no follow so it is questionable if this will help.

If you are to join the forum, read the guidelines and include your URL. No spamming here also.

Other than that, good thing is to make some lenses on Squidoo and Dig, write content related to your blog, and link back to your main blog.

There is free course going on right now, called 30 day challenge, you may be able to sign in and learn thing or two.

Just type Ed Dale and/or 30D challenge and you will find it.

You should if not done already, add your blog to your profile here in answers also.

I assume you are talking about leaving blog comments. If that's the case then it's okay to leave your blog name but write your website name in the spot where they ask for your name eg. Paula from Pursuit of Humility. This way it doesn't look so spammy when you are leaving comments.

To get inbound links try the following:

- submit to social bookmarking sites

- submit to social networking sites

- find relevant forums and start posting - add your blog url in the signature part of the post

- submit to directories
