Question:

How to get lizards out of your entry way?

I have a fobia with lizards. If there's a lizard on my way I won't walk thru. I have a pest control company that comes once a month to spray, also we spray once a week with a different chemical on it, and it appears to come more and more.

  1. Look I'm a lizard lover big time, but if youhave a phobia then i suggest you (man it hurts to say this) get those traps that have super glue on them and wait.

  2. Buy a CAT and you'll never have that problem again

  3. (measha93 - nice pic and background.  lol)

It's easier to resolve these things when we know what part of the world/country you live in, and what the pest is.  Posting a photo would help.

You have a couple reasons the reptile is persistently there, and it's not that he loves you.

I'm sad to read that you are trying to poison the poor thing.  He's actually doing a better job of insect control than your 'pest control co.' ever could outdoors.

The trouble with the original genius (and this still goes on and on, and just flabbergasts me) is that most people are right handed.  Outside lights are placed to the right of the door (as most doors open from the right towards the left), and lights attract insects in abundance.  They are in your face, and in the house, before you can get in, and close the door.

Lizards are attracted to proven food sources.  Where the bugs are - the lizards will end up.

Lose the porch/entryway light.  Install a pole light to the right or left of the walkway in the yard, just before the house door.

The insects will be drawn away from the house, and so will the lizards.

If you are afraid of lizards - bats would most likely terrify you too.  Bat boxex can help.

If it's a lizard basking for heat during the day - you have another issue entirely.  It may not be easy to convinced the reptile to relocate.  Are you providing moist plants near the area where you repeatedly see the reptile?  Removing a humid souce can help.

He's more afraid of you than you are of him.  He's harless.  I know that doesn't help with your phobia.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help, and I hope you find a solution which doesn't involve hurting the lizards.

  4. scare it away

or get someone's help to scare it

or go thru a different entry way
