  1. good woofers and turn gain up on amp flip woofers inside out an turn bass up on headunit with treble an high down

  2. one word:

    SUBWOOFERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  3. the point isn't to be loud but clear.  Dynomat is good to keep vibrations down in doors, trunk and bumper/license plate.  the lower the ohm rating of the speaker the less power it will use to get the same volume of a speaker of higher ohm.  thus a 2 ohm speaker will sound louder at 400 watts than a 8 ohm speaker.  the speakers sensitivity has a lot to do with it lower. sensitivity usually means louder base but, not necessarily tight bass.  a speaker with a sensitivity of 85 might be louder than a speaker with a sensitivity of 100 but when it is turned up the lower sensitivity speaker can sound really bad.  A sensitivity of 92 is usually good.  also look at the frequency response range most subs are in the 20- 500 hz range human hearing can't go much lower than that and all you get is the vibration and pressure.   Match your subs rms output to an amp of equal output to get the most effective range.  also look at the amps THD (total harmonic distortion)  the higher the number the more distortion at higher levels the amp could create.  a good amp has a THD of less than one percent. go to crutchfield.com and click on learn for more help.

  4. ask a physics teacher. hz is pulses per second.  20hz is the lowest a human can hear.  good luck

  5. Tuning is kind of important, but the main thing is getting a loud subwoofer pumped by a massive amplifier. Tuning is the last thing you need to worry about. The bigger the port, the heavier the bass, so make sure you tune the box exactly to what the maker wants you to.

  6. turn up your bass stupid

  7. Use a tuning between 30-35Hz a mix of both.

  8. first of all, you gotta get the right size ported box for your subs. second, you gotta get quality subs. third you gotta get subs that handle a high RMS, fourth you gotta get an amp that can power your subs, fifth you gotta get a capacitor cap, sixth you gotta have you gain level turned up as high as you can without blowing your subs or frying your amp.

I fell in love with JL w3's a long time ago, when i get the money im going to upgrade to w9s but they are d**n expensive, but are worth every penny at the same time.

  9. 20 hz gives low sound but 55hz is better and sounds good trust me

  10. by the time you read this answer youll probally be ticked off after reading those other answers.

20hz is really low bass, not really loud(unless you have some serious woofers) but definatley roof flexing and feel like someone is "standing" on your chest, because it makes alot more pressure.

55hz is a higher tone but with most subwoofers will sound alot "louder" then 20hz. it will also give more of a "kick" to your chest feeling.

  11. Aim for good sounding bass and make that your main goal. Loudness will come naturally as you make your bass sound better. Get to know a good glass man ;)

  12. Also depends on speaker direction And the car. A hatch back will slam so maybe go to a couple of SPL competitions Whitlee is a good one.

  13. That depends. What sort of amps are you going to be using and what sort of sound quality are you looking for? I think there are speaker boxes that can deliver more Mhz than what you specified here. But between those ranges, I'd have to guess and say 55hz. Like I said its all dependent on what equipment you are using.

  14. ^^^^^^^^^^ WTF? capacitor caps? W9's? This kid is on crack, don't listen to a word he says...If you want flex tune about 30-33 Hz. that is a good mix of flex and SPL.

  15. Go to the source I've provided you with.  It will help you.  Alright?
