I want to go to Italy to stay with my sister for 6 weeks. I had got my Lily her doggy passport so she won't have to go into quarenteen when we come back. I had assumed it would be "simple" to take her over on the flight with me. Its not! I assumed I would just pay for a ticket for her, then take her on the same flight.... but to get her there its £700 ONE WAY as you have to use a pet courier / travel agent etc. I can't afford to pay that much. Is there another way of getting there WITH the dog??? Can I get to Milan with the dog, on the train or a coach? Can I go on the ferry with her as a foot passanger? or on Eurostar? Has anyone driven to Milan from UK? How long would that take etc? How come I can get a flight from Bristol to Milan for about £50 yet to take the dog I have to go on BA via Heathrow and it costs £700? Does anyone have any advise or can anyone help? Thanks.
