How to get more speaking gigs?

Hi, This past year I reorganized myself and I do sessions or speak about my life with Cerebral Palsy. I have gotten gigs from doing the call for papers. I spoke at some big conferences. They were nice but I haven't recieved any inquiries from attendees on doing more for their groups. I can't really afford to keep doing these difference conferences and not get any leads on other oppurnities to speak. I have a website that I been told looks good, but it is hardly visited and no gigs from that.

What a remarkable person you are to want to impart your knowledge and wisdom to others!  Perhaps go to the area schools and talk with the school principal (and perhaps PTA/parent teacher association) and even the private schools for those with special needs.  How about advertising in an educational magazine or newspaper about your availability to speak.  How about also posting flyers (and contacting the clergy) at area places of worship such as churches, synagogues, mosques.
