How to get my belongings from a repossessed car?

First I would like to thanks everybody for your help...thank you very much.

I contacted the company who towed the car they said that at least I need to have a letter from the owner of the car (which is impossible for me to have), plus 100$ fees to get my belongings and I need to give the car keys.

What do you think about this?

I dont know what type of car your talking about, but I would offer them the key for personals. You might be able to contact the finance company and get a letter from them to get your things. You might tell them that you will sue and get some results.  If the items are not worth the 100.00 then I would just let it go.

if you want your belongings then your going to have to pay the price.i would pay the fee and get my things.

Without the letter from the owner, they will not/cannot give you anything from the vehicle. It would put them into a legal battle should the owner claim it was his things given away.
