How to get my kittens out of the flat?

I live in a first floor flat with two kittens. I have a big garden and it's time for the cats to go outside. I'm just wondering if there are any ideas as to how to get them outside? A window in my flat opens out to my garden wall but it is a good few meters down from the window ledge. Do you think a plank of wood is too unstable? Any more ideas?

  1. lost on your question but would say bait it with cat food, tuna fish would work best,or salmon

  2. Just take them outside and set them down.

    They'll figure it out themselves.

  3. I think if you can get a some sort of stool, or garden bench to put underneath the window will work.  Or maybe even a set of step stools that the kittens can use to walk  out - I'd be afraid a plank of wood might become unstable, and either crush your kittens if they are underneath it, or make your kittens stuck outside if the are outside.  If the piece of wood is heavy, and solid, you should't have problem, but if its plywood or similiar, you will need to use something else.
