  1. ummm well condition condition condition. and where do u get the cramps? stomach, legs?

  2. stretch before running. try running everyday and you will get to your goal.

  3. If you get cramps near your ribs, whatever side it is, when you step down with that side's foot breath out really hard. Cramping can mean that you're not drinking enough water before you run or that you're eating or drinking too much before you run. Wait about an hour before you run and also don't forget to breath in your nose and out your mouth.

  4. to get rid of cramps while running do extremely deep breathing. take in as much air as you can when u inhale then exhale the air really fast. this transports the oxygen to your muscles helping them loosen up. and eat lots of bananas like 3 a day. they have tons of potassium which prevents cramps. trust me it works!

as far as getting the time down u need to condition. try running long distances on the track, rotate laps: the first lap sprint, second lap jog, third lap sprint, fourth lap jog. also one you get tired keep going! because you'll find that the further you push your body the more it can handle

your goal is realistic only if you train hard.

good luck thats a big time change but you have 4 months so go for it!

  5. my mile is 5:23

i run long and short distance. for you i would say run 3-4 miles each day and cut it down 1/2 mile every 2 weeks.

then from there when you get to 1 mile sprint it every time. and take a freezing cold shower before it or the day at school you run it.

    Good Luck

  6. try this.....

-do intervals----- .take ur goal time divide in fourth. take this time and run 400 meters in this time. repeat it 4-8 times. with about 2:00 rest in between. and in the future slowly decrease ur rest time.

-hill work outs--- run hills as fast as u can. u kinda have to set ur goal time for this depending on the length and steepness of hill. repeat 6-10 times. remember to time ur rest time and kepp it to about 1:00

distance work out-----run from 3-6 miles and try to improve ur time and distance every week.

do intervals and hill workout once a week and distance work out 3-4 times a week. and remember to do warm up run b4 and after intervals and hill workout . and also strech b4 and after all workouts. if u feel sore ice ur muscles. do few pushups, situps or crunches everyday to help build ur muscle endurance.this is was the basic workout in my track team. im 14 and it helped me drop my mile time from 7:45 to 5:17 in 2 months and still improving.

also every 2 weeks during intervals day u can run a timed mile to see where u are at. remember warming up and streching b4 the race really helps u drop ur time.

and about the cramps drink lots of water, strech b4 and after and concentrate on breathing during runnning.

  7. I do not see much point in answering this question, seeing as everyone else covered everything. Train hard! I run cross country.

  8. practice, practice, PRACTICE

  9. u gotta do interval running... start off at slow speed like 5 mph then raise it every other minute . try to go up to like 8 mph if u can until u cant run anymore.. doing this should increase ur stanima n make running a 6 min mile easy... for ur cramps, mayb ur not warming up enough,, start slow then increase the pace gradually
