How to get my page to show up in search engines?

Question

what i've done so far is make a lot of blogs and put in them a bunch of href links to my page with key words, and not only that i linked them all together hoping to increase THEIR ranking as well. My question is, will this work for ranking? and how long does it typically take for a site to show up in google or yahoo?

Depends on what your trying to rank for.  If its broad then you have a lot of work to do, try and pick a niche.  There are probably thousands of free articles online on showing up on search engines.  Just GOOGLE it.
