  1. One or two of the shops in this area take some of the insurance people on a week long all expense paid trip to Vegas.  Personally, I prefer to sleep well at night.

Besides, DRP's aren't all that they seem to be.  You can expect to have to take a 2-6 dollar labor rate cut, agree to ridiculous repair times, using sub-standard aftermarket parts, doing lots more paperwork and having to purchase specialized software that some idiot in the insurance company thinks would make HIS job a little easier. All for less money that you would get from the same companies if you weren't their DRP.

With that said, in my humble opinion the only drp worth having is State farm.

  2. You would need to speak with the physical damage supervisor or administrator of the direct repair program for the insurance company. They will be able to tell you the requirements and if they are looking to add new shops to the list.

  3. Good Luck.  At this point you will probably never get in.  I am sorry to say but guys are fighting over that like crazy across the country.

To even be considered, the minimum requirements for personnel and shop equipment are RIDICULOUS.  You would have to put out so much money up front, for something more than likely that will not happen, that it does not make much sense.
