How to get on the pill?

im a teenager

i cant talk to my parents about it, theyd flip.

i would go to planned parenthood but its too far away from my house to walk (i dont drive)

how should i get the pill?

(i dont care if you think im too young. too bad)

  1. ask your doc for a prescription. That is THE BEST way. PP is kinda shady anyway. I've been there. They just want your $$. Anyway, your doc will keep it confidential & can't tell your parents what you say/don't say. It's a law. I recommend going on a low-dose pill when you start out. Your doc will know what's best for your body. Realize the Pill is a BIG DEAL & can effect your body in some ways. So just know the pros & cons -- research on the internet. Some of the side effects can be downright scary, but it's not a given you'll get them. I'm just starting on one at the age of 21. Best of luck.  


  2. really you can have a friend bring you to a doctors you talk to them and they set you up. You dont need parents permission for the birth control pills they expect you to use them just like condoms. So I guess ask a friend to bring you or maybe a close relative who wont say anything. But talk to your parents, maybe you misjudge them and they wont flip out.
