How to get onto a NVQ Level 1 child care?

Hi,

My Girlfried wants to get onto an NVQ in child care however is unsure how to do this where would she need to go to do this. To a college first and then find a placement or the other way round?

It can probably be done both ways.

Why not contact your local college and ask them if they run the course? They'll be able to tell you what they're options are.

You can look at www.hotcourses.com to see which colleges offer courses.

You may find that Level 2 would be a better starting point - particularly if she already has 5 GCSEs
