The pool has a vinyl liner and is 20' by 40 ' VERY large. It will cost about 1000.00 to refill it, if the liner isnt damaged in the process.

  1. emty the pool then let it dry up then shovel it out.

  2. Don't drain a vinyl pool unless it's your last resort. It'll shrink and depending on it's age, may snap at a seam or under stairs when you refill.

Your's best bet is to either call in a pro or, if you decide to tackle it your self and have a sand filter, vac VERY carefully on "waste" or "drain". You'll use up water doing this, so overfill the pool a bit before starting and only vac down to normal water level. Then start it all again if needed. DON'T vac on filter. You'll plug it up in no time and as I said...be careful. Don't vac up too much at a time such that it clogs your suction.

A pro would rig a vac hose to a portable pump, so that he wouldn't need to worry about clogged suction lines.
