  1. You have all ready taken the first (and i think hardest) step in realizing that this pattern in your family and community is not something you want  to continue in your own life. The world is open to you in all sorts of ways. Would you be willing to offer your skills to a group that aids others in a third world country(in U.S. we have the Peace Corps.)? i am thinking it would be a way for you to leave the environment your in and do something useful with the skills you all ready have. plus you will be exposed to lots of people who have a more positive way of interacting.Think of all the contacts you will make and interesting places you could see all while doing good works!

  2. It's very interesting that you want out from drinking alcohol. Have you told your father that you want to do this? Have you tried to tell him that you don't want to drink like he does? since all your friends are in the same situation? The only thing that you can do is to try to find some experiences and places to go where alcohol is not served. Surely there are other places to go. Do you ever go shopping instead? Find other things to do. are there churches in Scotland? Another way is to build tiny steps to what we want to accomplish. Start small, drink a little less each night and then begin to find other things to do. good luck to you and let us hear what you have decided where you are.

  3. You should go see a therapist...=)
