How to get outside food donations for military function?

Question

Ive contacted jag and they told me the Army cant solicit for donations...but it is ok if the distrubtor contacts you and is willing to donate. How do i work around this... i called some distrubutors and they want a tax id number so they can right it off on their tax deductions... im just trying to help out my unit before we deploy and save some of the FRG money for the soldiers family while were gone. thanks

There is no way around it.  Have the corporation donate to the spouses group or whatever other charitable organization takes care of your family while you are gone.
