Question:

How to get over feelings of guilt/sadness?

I feel very guilty for no reason. Does anyone know what I can do to stop these feelings?

I have tried taking deep breaths but it really doesn't help. And I do not want any suggestions to go to therapy either because therapy really won't help me with this, I'm sure.

  1. i guess my question would be.... what are you feeling guilty about?? There HAS to be some reason. When you have thoughts go through your head what do you think about? I would suggest to either talk to someone online in a support group, or if you really have no one, you can journal, and express your feelings on paper. Sometimes just getting it out can help.  


  2. There isn't really much to go on here. So I'm going to take a wile stab in the dark. Guilt doesn't come from nowhere. Maybe it was something you did, or didn't do, maybe it comes from your childhood. Or maybe you know of someone who has done something wrong, and just feel guilty for knowing. Could also be how you look at yourself. Only you can help yourself. Therapy is only for those who want the help. I am going to suggest it because in the end it is you who has to make the changes. Nobody knows you like yourself. A therapist may be able to help pinpoint where the source of this guilt is. Good luck

  3. I feel guilty, overwhelmed and sad too. I know why I'm sad and overwhelmed, but I don't have a reason to feel guilt. Take a depression test online.

    I think I have htat.
