How to get over him, any advice?

Last night I was talking to my boyfriend of almost three months on MSN as usual, when we get into a discussion of our relationship. He tells me that he realised a few days ago, when he didn't tell me something that he thought he should. He tells me that he loves me, but he's not in love with me, and he doesn't want to hurt me like someone else did before by leading me on, saying "I wish I could love you the way you want me to, I just can't".

I still love him, and still definitely want to be friends, but how can this be without being awkward? I'm meeting up with him tomorrow, we both thought the sooner the easier...any advice?

Well thats a real shame - but it was only 3 months. you never really said that you broke up - but im assuming that you did. Its probably a little harsh f me to say it but i really doubt you love him afyter such a short time. But even so i know how this type of thing can hurt. DO NOT GO ON THE p**s WITH THE GIRLS. You will regret it ! but do go out with them have some fun to your mind of it ! Make a list of 50 things you like about you - this helps get your confidence up after the blow of losing your boyfriend. Dont rush into something new- rebounding isnt usually a good idea- and leave you feeling guilty on top of everything. Tomorrow when you see him be understanding. if the subject comes up say you are still upset because u liked him alot ( leave out the word love) and say you understand that he isnt in love with you and that your not mad or anything ! I suggest planning thing to actually DO beforehand so if its awkward you have something to distract you from conversation! Dont worry about it - there will be more guys and you will find the right one wholl be IN love with you ! :)

i kind of went through that, except for the fact that it was him wanting to be friends.

uhm.. just go on like nothing's wrong.. be yourself.

I'm sure he won't have a problem with just being friends. I mean he is nice enough to tell you that he loves you but isnt in love with you because he cares about you and possibly wants you to be with someone better. It's going to hurt nonetheless. So just take it all day by day and slowly the pain will ease. I'm sure you are young and can find that special someone who will fall madly in love with you.

if you can handle seeing him with other girls in the future, be his friend.. there is nothing wrong with that. give him credit for caring about your feelings enough to break up with you soon into the relationship rather than later.. now you didn't waste time on him

Hi,

           If he has told you it is over then I think seeing him is going to be too hard and not going to allow you to get over him as you still love him.

           I think best thing to do is to cut off the contact a bit - not see him that often, meet up with other friends, do a new hobby and meet new people and new friends.

             All this would allow you closure and enable you to know that the relationship is over and that friends is all you will ever be.

  

             Once you moved on, you will be able to have a great friendship.



               Seeing him whilst you still love him will just make you want him more and will just make you try too hard to get him back and cause endless pain.
