How to get over the nerves???

Question

well i start highschool in 2 day and like im going into a tough highschool and i cant get my mind off of how hard it is and i was hoping you guys could give me some advice thanx:)

Don't worry everything will be ok. High school isn't scary at all. Wear a cute outfit and talk to all your friends you knew from middle school and everything will be ok!

academically tough or environmentally tough?

If it's academically tough, ask the older students for tips and tricks with handling things. If you get a little behind in your work meet with your teachers right away. Don't be worried that they'll label you "stupid" for asking questions. It's their job to teach make them earn their pay.

If the school is environmentally tough - gangs, drugs and stuff - I'm not sure what to do. If you score high enough on the ACT or SAT you can appeal to a local college to let you attend classes there to bypass the bad environment. If your test scores aren't so good, go live in the library.

All high schools feel tough and intimidating when you will first enter one as a new student. You will be nervous at first obviously, but probably by the end of the first week, you'll fit in just fine and your nerves will most likely be gone. For me, I was very very nervous the first day I walked into high school, but by the second day, all of that nervousness was gone, and it was all good. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

this is about anxiety, and it might help and it really helped me, and that's how my first day of high school was, and it also bothered me because of a lot of the people at my school are very intimidating so, I hope this helps(=

Get involved in something to make friends, band GSA, football, it doesn't really matter.

Be yourself, unless yourself is weird or rude.

It's just like any other first day you've ever had, except it might be a lot more boring.

How is it a "tough high school"?

Oh and if you stand in the middle of the hall or walk on the wrong side someone will hit you, you will cry and it will be awkward for everyone so never ever do that until your senior year.
