  1. You practice by first going on the less intense roller coasters and then make your way up.

  2. just go on the ride and when waiting for it to start, talk with your friend to forget your even on the ride, then when it starts just dont look at the bottom when it goes straight down.

  3. Before you go, check out what the ride is like. You can find it on a few websites, or look up the ride on YouTube. There are plenty of videos from when people bring their video cameras on rides (and sometimes, companies make the videos themselves). When you are in line, try to be relaxed. Talk to your friends like you would normally, and don't think about the ride. When you are going up the lift hill, take some deep breaths (it really helps to keep your nerves down). If you hold your breath when going down the drop, your stomach won't have that weird feeling. After that, open your eyes and enjoy the ride. It's more fun once you're closer to the ground.

Just another fact to help: You're more likely to get injured on a carousel than a roller coaster.

  4. just think....other people ride this ride and come back fine. so nothing will happen to me!

thats what i do and it works! then next thing i know i am saying LETS GO AGAIN !!!!

  5. good??

    haha

    then go on it.

    Pretty much force yourself!

I forced myself on all the roller coasters I used to be scared of.

and I've never regret it, not even once!

Besides one ride that hurted my crotch... and i'm a girl..haha

  6. If you can, start with a smaller rollercoaster first!

I just got over my fear of rollercoasters last summer, and as odd as it sounds, I tried to watch the rollercoaster from start to finish, counting exactly how long it took.  I figured, it's only 25 seconds, I can do this!

  7. let your mother  chear you up

  8. just go for it!

  9. i too am going to six flags and have a fear of rollercoasters but heyy i lobe how you want to support your freinds and i think amanda im going to try that technique i love it!

  10. you just have to convince yourself that nothing bad will happen, which is what common sense tells you, because so many people go on the rides unscathed every day. The problem is that its hard to do that when you can hear the ride and see it and hear peoples screams, and because the ride is very large.

Start with a ride that is fast but that is not a coaster. Something that will scare you but that you can convince yourself of the safety.

Then work your way up but gradually. It worked for me actually. And the more you do it, the more easy it becomes to convince yourself of the safety, until will no longer have to.

And also remember this, if you're scared of coasters, you get so much more value for money than people who aren't when you go on them. Since you have paid to be scared by these things, you might as well get your money's worth!
