Question:

How to get people at work to stop bugging me about the way I eat?

I love fresh produce and snack on it all day long at work. It's so yummy!! But people at my work say really stupid things like, "why don't you eat normal foods - do you have food issues?" and "you're the last person that should lose weight" ... and then when I snack on some m&m's, they'll say sarcastic things like, "uh - oh ... slipping on your diet?"

I want to tell them, "maybe if you ate fresh produce too you wouldn't be such a fatty" ... but clearly that's not appropriate. So what can I say?

  1. Oh I like your comment, that would definitely get them to shut up. I get teased about my diet all the time (vegetarian) and the best way to deal with it is to just nod and go about with whatever you were doing. The more attention you give it, the more things they will say. Sorry I don't have any snappy comebacks!

  2. Ask them to research recent Alabama state legislation which will allow the State to levy a tax on their obese employees since obesity increases overall healthcare costs.

  3. Make them an offer they can't refuse.

  4. You know what I say to that?

I say nothing. Just ignore them. People make fun of me on the way I eat to. I eat just like you and people at work have to be jerks about it and I've heard it so long I just don't care anymore.  I just ignore them. Try it and tell me how it works out.

    Good luck.

  5. Just tell them that this is your food preferences and that you care a lot about your health. Also, tell them if they want some diet tips you would love to help! :)

  6. BEST ANSWER: YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

you should print a poster or a card and pin it up, LESS IS MORE!

you dont have to say a word, let them read your message and then they will realize how stupid they sound before they even speak.

    Best of luck!

  7. just tell them that you are not comfortable with their comments...

  8. I think you should tell "This is wha you should eat fatty (in a nice voice & smile)

Or say "What's the matter? Jealous?".
