How do I get a picture on the profile??

TO SETUP YOUR AVATAR/CARTOON IMAGE

♦Click this link below:-

♦If you want to change the Gender of your Avatar click

‘PREFERENCES’ at the top right corner of the screen, above

‘MY FAVOURITES’ to select Male/Female, as you are it.

♦You can choose from a VARIETY of things right from face, hairstyle, color, and background to fashion accessories, cool goodies like hats, scarves

(You'll know once you get there).

♦At the end click ‘SAVE CHANGES’ (Orange button below your Avatar)

and you'll have an Avatar.

♦To use your Avatar come back to your profile and click ‘EDIT MY INFO’.

♦Tick ‘USE MY AVATAR’ instead of No picture (Grey Silhouette).

♦Click ‘PREVIEW’ at the bottom and click OK.

♦Now you have your pretty NEW avatar.

TO USE A PERSONAL PICTURE:-

It’s a STEP-by-STEP Instruction. So follow it carefully!

♦You need to first make a Yahoo 360 account.

To make one click on the link http://360.yahoo.com. Follow the steps to create one. Next click ‘My Page’ at the top of the 360 page, click ‘Edit Personal Photos’. Click ‘Browse’

and drop the photos from your drive. To convert it to JPG format go to

Microsoft paint and open that photo. Click ‘Save As’ JPG in your drive.

♦When you are done click ‘SAVE’ at the bottom of the page where you had

browsed that photo. It takes awhile to upload depending on your server and

connectivity. If there is no disturbance then it should get uploaded immediately!

♦When its uploaded click on ‘Edit Personal Photos’ once again and ticks on

‘Set As Primary ‘. Click this link http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit  

Tick ‘Use My 360 Picture’. Login once again to get the PHOTO instead

of the Avatar.

IF YOU WANT AN AVATAR( CARTOON PICTURE) THEN:

*Go to http://avatars.yahoo.com

*When you get there click "Preferences" to choose male or female.

*Click save after you choose.

*Then you can create what you want to look like. Appearance, apparel, extras, etc.

*Look around at the sub categories, face, hair, eyes, all categories have numbered pages, so take your time.

*As you are trying thing you will see in the avatar pane. When you like it, click "Save Changes". You can save things to Favorites for another time.

*Now, come back to Yahoo Answers. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing your avatar. Click Preview and then the OK button.

IF YOU WANT YOUR OWN PICTURE AS AN AVATAR THEN:

1st  create a 360 space at http://360.yahoo.com . Now start creating your 360 space from there. Click the big yellow "Get Started" button on the far right section of that page.

After that, you can log in by by clicking on the  "Sign-in" button on the upper left of the page. Then, the page refreshes and click on "Yahoo 360 Home" link on the upper right of the page to get into the 360 page.

Make sure that your picture is  a JPEG formatted photo under 5MB.

*Click your "My Page" link at the top

* Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

* Click "Browse" and upload photo from your computer's folder.

Then click on "use as primary"  button on the right before saving.

You can upload only  5 profile pictures (including an avatar).

Now, come back to Yahoo Answers. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing the 360 picture. Click Preview and then the OK button.
