How to get plastic off of a frying pan?

I was frying some eggs and then a plastic grocery bag got stuck to the bottom of the frying pan!

How do I get rid of the plastic from the bottom of the pan?

Try using a blow dryer on high heat.

Rub with brillo, or steel wool.   If that proves difficult,  flames will do the job.   Put it over your outdoor grill, so you won't smell up the house.

I can't help laughing a little ... I've DONE that!

Try pouring some boiling water over the burned-on plastic (in the sink!) to soften it ... then scrape it off with something dull (butter knife, back of a spoon, etc.)

Just do a little at a time.  Once you've got as much off as you can, spray the area with no-stick cooking spray and let that penetrate any remaining residue from the plastic.

Wipe that off (you may still need to scrape a bit more), and then wash your pan as you always do.
