  1. Many of the answers are good ones, but a few are very incorrect.  an extension cord, in many locals, will not meet code.  Also the solar panels, while a great idea, will have a much higher upfront cost then anything else.  My recommendation would be to hire an electrician to do this work unless you know what you are doing.  There are many differing factors in this instance that will affect what circuit to use, or if a new one will be needed.  Some of these are existing loads in circuits, panel amperage, location of sign, and distance.  Based on your question I would bid this job out at between 100.00-250.00.  That range reflects the length of wire and conduit needed, as well as time.

    IM for any further help.

  2. U can buy extension cords to connect to a nearby plug.  That's ur only option with out hiring a electrician to put a plug there.  That will cost u $150-250 depends what he had to do to make the box for u.

  3. Solar panel

    Gas Generator

Batteries w/ inverter (that you take in and recharge)

Hire an electrician to run electric power out to the sign

  4. Ever hear of an extension cord?

  5. Solar Panel, states and utility companies have done it for years.

Just google, solar power, enter in the amps and watts needed.

  6. Short of hiring an electrician as suggested, you can drill through the brick and run wire through there. You want the hole to just accomodate the wire. You put the plug on at the end (on the sign end). If you need to go through concrete, be sure to use a hammer drill and a concrete bit, and use outdoor insulated wire. Most areas require conduit to be run to cover the wire, unless it is buried underground. Just use some PVC grey pipe. That should get you going. If you have more questions email me.

  7. Solar panel with an AC inverter.
