  1. ok first off you want to find out if there is anywhere near you that gives snowboarding lessons as its not a case of just jump on and go then when u have had lessons you need to start looking at your kit.. e.g snowboard, boots, bindings and clothes. with a snowboard it is important that it suites your hight weight and size of foot. bindings as its your first time make sure you dont go for a very stiff binding (as with snowboard go for a medium feel of about 5-6).. Boots when buying boots ALWAYS check that when you bend your knees your feet dont knock into the front of the boots and make sure that who ever you buy them from molds your foot to the boot as this will make your ride much more comfortable.. when setting up the board always set the binding to where your feet and legs feel comfortable i used to just stand up and find that  comfy spot then onnce all setup you should be ready to go :)
