  1. Dribbling, Dribbling, and Dribbling... As a college coach I cannot stand a player who guys to the gym goofs off and expects to get better. I ask my guys to dribble a basketball for 20 minutes a day, thats it! Also shoot 200 "shots" I quotate that because I mean shots not throwing it at the basket... Finally every night before bed lay on your back with a basketball in your shooting hand and work on shooting the ball up in the air (one handed), flicking your wrist, with a good follow through and the ball should come straight back down... I ask my players to do 150-200 of those a night, it's a tremendous workout and the repition is amazing... Hope this helps.

  2. Don't be nervous.

Condition and run before you go in of course.

Just play the game and try to make the shots.

If the coach doesnt pick you this year dont worry.

I mean, Jordan got cut from his high school team.

    Just do your best!

  3. Determination in your tryouts, try your hardest and never give up ,if you want try some drills and fitness programs , Coaches love the fitness in all players,

    Good luck with it all,
