How to get rid of a canker sore FAST!?

I bit my tongue like 4 days ago and I've had this canker sore on the very tip of my tongue since then. It hurts so so bad and I just want it gone! Any tips on how to get rid of it?

I already tried the salt water thing and it doesn't seem to be helping much.

When I bite the tip of my tongue and it swells like you're describing, I just pull it off really fast. It hurts like h**l.. but only for a second.. and hey, it's fast.. just like you wanted :)

I use hydrogen peroxide when I get them, it hurts like he** but let it finish fizzing and repeat as needed.
