Picture Day is TOMORROW! And I have a pimple on my CHIN. And it sucks even more because my hair can't cover it and my chin moves when i'm talking or eating so it's like a talking pimple! It's horrible! How can I get rid of a pimple overnight? Are there any other ways Besides toothpaste?

Thanks!

  1. omg good question!!

  2. try a potato , it worked for me . Use gauze and put a thin slice on your pimple . It should make it less noticeable but i highly doubt that it will go away .

  3. hey sorry it probably cant completely go away overnight, but as others have said there are ways to dry it out. your best bet is to just use a green concealer to diminish the red colour, if theres no red to it just go for the right skin colour. hope this helped :)

  4. to dry out my acne last minute, i make a concoction of 1 part water adn 1 part baking soda, and mix it so it is like a paste then put a small layer on the pimple and sleep with it on and then wash it off in the morning.  good luck, dont worry about it, its gonna be fine =]

  5. Try Proactive, go to truthaboutzits.com

  6. well depending on your skin..my skin has like no pimples what-so-ever. I usually soak a wash cloth with warm water then apply soap to the rag and scrub for like 5 minutes, then in the morning i apply lots of concealer.

  7. Ive been there! Before you go to bed wash your face and put on a dab of toothpaste. It cant be the gel kind! Sleep with it on,wake up 15 minutes earlier than usual and then check to see if it is gone. If it isn't it should be greatly diminished. To help get the rest gone put on some alcohol. It should be completely gone with just toothpaste.

  8. I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

After 12 years in this profession I find that most of my patients who deal with acne or brekout problems DO NOT SEE RESULTS from commercial products sold at drung stores or the mall. They usually contain too much benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or sulfur which tends to OVER DRY the skin and cause itching or irritations.

Also, home remedies such as lemon juice or alcohol or toothpaste SHOULD NEVER BE USED because they cause small tears in the skin and leave the skin more susceptible to bacteria that causes pimples or acne.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! Do you always have breakouts?

However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.

Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.

However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.

Teenagers going through hormonal and growth changes are prone to acne.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you. I refer all my students and patients to this website:

    www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Visit: www.aboutyourskincare.com

As I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

    Good Luck to you,

  9. Use noxema. Its these pads that have some sort of alcohol. They work really good. If It doesnt get rid of the pimple it'll at least make it less visible. Try putting a GREEN conealer. Sounds wierd but have you ever noticed green concealer sticks at the make up stores? Well you use those to cover up pimple. To hide the appearance of something you have to use a color thats the opposite of that color in the color chart. A pimple is red right. the opposite color is green. Trust me.

  10. Okay, first off, don't let it stress you out. Just get some lemon juice and put it on the pimple with a Q-tip,

and it may dry out by tomorrow morning.

If not, just try to cover it up with a good concealer/foundation and set it with a face powder.

Some picture-taking companies or whatever can do stuff like remove pimples form pictures.

But other than that, just smile, I'm sure you'll look just as good as you would otherwise!

    Good luck! =)

  11. pop the pimple

    thats the only way!

    and cover it with concealer

just ask your parents if you can wear just for picture day...and begg

  12. put toothpaste on it before you go 2 bed, sleep with it on then wake up a wash it off!! hope this helps and that u get a good pic!!

  13. First wash your face with warm water (as warm as can handle it) and then wash your face in cold water that will shock your pores and then use peperation H ointment I know it's for hemroids lol but it will shrink the pimple and it really work's trust me godbless.

  14. well my mom told me to put a lil bit of toothpaste and baking soda and add a tiny bit of water so it creamy and rub that on your face then wash it off, but that can be just to clean out your face and make it less oliy. but whatever you do dont pop it or it will take a lot longer for it to go away, and if you do decide to use q-tips to do it instead of your fingers then put peroxide on the spot. and to make it go away try rubbing some peroxide, or even to cover it up more the next day even more cuz im sure it wont be gone the next day try to steal some coverup maybe from your mom's purse or bathrrom just put a lot on in the morning or ask a friend, it really helps. you should ask your mom if you can buy some.

  15. I would recommend selecting a good facial astringent and dabbing it with a Q-tip, this should dry it out. Whatever you do, DON'T poke or pop it, as that will make area more red and sore.

If that doesn't make it better, simply get a good concealer,  and set it with a facial powder. Take the concealer with you and do a touch up before pictures.

Another trick would be to accent your eyes for example; to draw attention away from the pimple. :) good luck!

  16. ok,what you do first you pop it,then you can put make up over it or after you take a shower put some productive on!hope i helped

  17. Well I get some random pimples once and a while, like the day before picture day, and Proactiv works great for me. I just use the refining mask on the area (not over every part of my face) the night before and I wash it off the renewing cleanser then I dab the revitalizing toner on and then rub in the repairing lotion. Then the next morning its gone, I know it sounds like its not true but that's how it works for me.

  18. skip skool and go to picture make ups.

  19. you cant but try ice on it it swoles at first then gets lil

  20. use toothpaste trust me it helps! then in the morning just use some cover up concealer and powder and your good2go =)

you can still try photo editing they do that in schools now. =)

    good luck!

  21. ahh i had the same problem 2 weeks ago, im a guy but i care bout my appereance, anyway all i did was cover with make up it helps alot, you can try all theese other metohds but i can almost 100% garantee you dey arent going to work, & if some actually do work is not going to be over night, make up its your best shot trsut me. it works miracles lol

  22. lmao boy do i have an answer for you....here it is......wait for it....MAKE UP! infact you dont even have to wait overnight, takes 1 minuet to do a quick cover up, trust me i spot fix all the time with foundation.

  23. Impossible, sorry.

  24. hahaha thats horrible.

today was picture day for me and it was completely without notice so i looked horrid.

anyways i would say drink TONS of water RIGHT NOW, like soo much youll have to pee like five times. and also wash your face and put some rubbing alcohol on it. DONT try to pop it or squeeze it because this will make it larger and redder if it's not done carefully.

    hope this helps [:
