How to get rid of a stye?

hi my new school year is starting in about a week and i think i am getting a stye!

my bottom eyelid in the corner has a tender feeling and like if i touch my eyelashes it hurts alot! and everytime i blink it hurts! and now that i think about it, it has been watering alot.

i dont want this to become really noticble for school so im trying not to touch it but does anyone have any remedys or suggestions on what to do to make it go away quicker?

  1. A stye will go away on its own. Don't touch it or anything or it will get worse.  


  2. Try your hardest not to wear makeup, because that will just irritate it more.  

    One thing you can do, is take a used tea bag, soak it in a cup of hot water (as hot as you can bear), then take it out, squeeze out any excess water, and hold it over the eye, on the area where the stye is.  Once the tea bag gets cold, soak it in the hot water again, and repeat.  Do that for as long as you can bear, for a couple of nights, and if it is a stye, the skin will start to open up, and it will eventually pop, just like a pimple, so you can squeeze all of the gunk out (I know that sounds gross).  If it's just swollen, then the hot tea bag would just reduce the swelling.

    Another alternative, is to go to a doctor, and they can actually drain it for you.
