How to get rid of a ton of alge in my pond?

we would use killer but it doesnt get it all. and so far all we can do is get on the paddle boat and pull it out little by little and day by day and it comes back any sudjestions on how to get rid of it and prevent it?

  1. I have seen a pond clear up of algae by putting a straw bale in the water. It must be straw and not just ordinary hay. It takes about a couple of weeks but it really does work. Don't break the bale strings just dump the whole thing in complete.


  2. My 93 year old grandpa swears you need to use alum to clear up a dirty pond.

  3. I have seen the straw remedy as well and is supposed to really work well. In fact I know that they sell plastic spheres that you fill with the straw and let it just float in your pond all the time as a way of maintaining control.
