How to get rid of antivirus 2008

Antivirus 2008 has gotten into my computer and I can not find it to get rid of it by using the add/deleat site....can anyone help...

I just got rid of that "anti-virus" software here the other day because it had gotten into my system also and it would not let me check my e-mail much less do anything else.

It will not only get rid of that for you but any other spyware that got installed in your system and best of all it is free. After installation, do a complete scan your system, when finished  clink on the next button, and it will get rid of it.  

Edit: If you do a system restore any software that you have installed will be lost since you bought the system. So if you plan on going this route have backups on everything that you have installed since buying the computer and you want to keep. Use this method of last resort.

It's from the makers of Win Antivir 2008. It also displays fake alerts on your computer which is just another tactic to scare you into purchasing the program.

Next time check to see if the software you want download is on download.com, if it is, its safe.(As antivirus 2008 is not)

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Removes Antivirus:

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for

problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'
