  1. The only thing you can really do (that is healthy) is to replace them with good memories or good thoughts.

  2. Actually, I am going to take the opposite view and suggest that you should confront these bad memories.  Set aside a time each day, or each week, that you would relive these memories.  Analyze why you did what you did.  After a few times, you will find that the "power" these bad memories have over you will fade, and eventually they will disappear.

  3. electro shock therapy.

if it's painful, call a lawyer. otherwise, it feels like sleeping.

  4. Try meditating. Sometimes that can help.

  5. though i doubt it is even possible, but i think by keeping yourself busy and creating new ones

  6. You just have to learn to move on.

In the meantime, you can take an ibuprofen/tylenol and go for a long walk with your ipod. That's what I usually do. The painkiller helps calm you down and helps the bad thoughts seem dumb or even go away.

  7. Speaking from personal experience you might find it helpful to let it out instead of bottling up your feelings. You could start by writing about it in a journal or maybe letting your friends or family help you. It would be more pleasant to think of the bad memories if they are somehow connected to happy thoughts such as friends or something similar. Try taking walks if you have to let off steam.
