  1. Try gently massaging the muscles in your calfs. A good snack would be yoghurt

  2. you can always stretch it out by putting the ball of your foot and your toes of course up on a wall but keep your heel on the ground. move closer to the wall to stretch it more. as for the snack...idk,  lol

  3. Bananas.

Cramps are a result of dehydration, low potassium or both.

Try a low sugar sport drink like Propel ( basically low carb, Gatorade ).

    Lots of water and bananas.

If you wait until you are thirsty it is too late. Force water early.

As they are already sore, lots of stretching and ICE packs before and after practice.

  4. One way to get rid of muscle cramps, which really works well, sounds crazy.

Have someone push down on the side opposite the pain.  Then you push up against it(or down) and the muscles that are cramped should start relaxing.  It works amazingly well.  Drink a lot of water, to wash out the lactic acid that cramps like that liberate- causing more pain.  Drink a lot of water after practice.  Magnesium works to decrease pain as well, so take some magnesium supplements(according to the lable).

Take a couple motrin before practice, which will help decrease inflammation and re cramping of your calves.

Massaging leg cramps can make them worse.

  5. magnesium prevents cramps, so take a supplement or eat foods with it in.

always stretch before and after exercise, and knead your muscles that ache (massage).

bananas have always been recommended as a before and after sport snack, and i think porridge is meant to be good too but probs best to let it go down a bit before you run!
