I need to stop my emotions. They cause me problems.

  1. Getting rid of emotions? Are you suicidal? A human being without emotions is a machine...

    But what you probably must learn and endeavor to is "controlling" your emotions. I mean converting them in a positive driving force behind your decisions. When you feel you "hate" something, try to make clear why, and use your arguments to fight it by getting as much public backing as you can. If you can't explain your hate, well then do not act upon it because it probably is irrational.

    Use you rationality more often, but no, do not stop your emotions. Just control them.


  2. Zen meditation. It's not good to supress emotions. Instead you have to learn to observe them and let them go. Like a mountain you sit there while your emotions pass like clouds.

  5. For sadness, realize where your feelings are coming from, and work through whatever is troubling you. Let yourself feel the sadness, accept the fact that you're sad, and understand that you need to grieve to move on emotionally.

    For anger, try to understand the consequences of your would-be actions. If you want to lash out and hurt someone (physically and/or emotionally), think about how that will affect them. Take a breath, step back, and remember that one year from today you won't even remember this moment. It won't affect your life that much.

    Don't try to get rid of emotions - they're what make you human. Work through them, and try to understand them. That's the best way to control them.

    But you can learn to deal with them.  That happens as you grow up and get more experience.

    It distracts me a lot from memories for a long, good while.

  9. Contact your local Vulcan embassy. I hear they have excellent meditative and control practices which allow Vulcans to be in control of their emotions throughout their lives. It may work for humans.

    in order to face ur emotions u need a clear mind

    next when ever ur faced with a thought or those unwanted emotions

    think of something that will make u feel the opposite of that emotion
