How to get rid of fleas in house?

my boys let the dog in the house she had fleas got her clean how do i get them out of my carpet and house

but s flea bomb they come 3 to a can, put them out and leae your house for about 4 hours then come home and open it up they work really well for roaches, fleas, ticks, ants

Bring the kids and the animals to the park tomorrow and buy 4 cans of flea defogger and set them off in your house before you leave and do not come back home for at least 4 hours and when you do just air out the house while you vacuum your rugs and wipe down your counters and things that should solve the flea problem.

sprinkle boric acid  on the floor and carpet. Like the kind you can use for cleaning laundry. available at walmart. A flea must have moisture to live and this dries out his little body and eggs of all moisture. do this before you go to bed and then vaccumm in the morning. do it about 3 times a week for two weeks and the fleas should be gone.

There is a product at Diatect.com that is called Flea and Tick Killer.  It is a really fine powder that is all natural and completely safe to people and pets, but kills fleas quickly.  A 1lb bottle is like $25, so a bunch cheaper than a professional exterminator, or anything like that.  Sprinkle the powder in the carpet and work it into your dog's fur.  I used it and it worked great for us.  Plus it doesn't require that you do anything differently as it is safe (don't worry about leaving your house or taking special steps).  Also, you should sprinkle it in your dog's bedding and anywhere else you know the fleas are.  Repeat again after a week to make sure that you kill the eggs of the fleas you already killed the previous week.  Fleas are an awful problem.  Hope that helps.  Good luck getting rid of those pests!

I learned this one a long time ago while living in Florida where fleas and bugs run the place!  A friend of mine was a manager of some local apartments and in charge of cleaning and maintenance.  She showed me a cheap and easy way to rid a place of fleas, without using expensive and potentially dangerous chemicals.  Get some common household salt.  Sprinkle liberally in all the rugs and let sit for 24 hours or more if you can.  Then vacuum.  If any fleas remain, repeat the cycle.  Then every 1 or 2 weeks, repeat till fleas are no longer a problem.  The fleas will eat the salt and because they have no way to rid themselves of the salt, they die.  Repeating the process gets rid of any ones that make it through or the ones that hatch.  Once you have broke the cycle, you can stop.  If any re-appear, just another dousing of salt should do it.  Hope this helps you!  Good luck!
