How to get rid of lust?

I have not overcome lust yet and will never want to . Why should I if it makes me happy ? As with anything else in Life,  Lust can be used in moderation and enjoyed forever .

I just checked the Wikipedia and it says that the word Lust, originally, did not have the same bad reputation that it enjoys now . Guess who was responsible for that ?

The only way to overcome lust is with cold-hard knowledge and common sense. There are plenty of girls I knew I liked, but it was just outwardly- if you talk to them and she has a bad personality- and you still like her its lust. Just think that if you pursue a relationship- thats all thats good about her. I have overcome lust many times. You just have sit down and have a long convo with yourself and see if it IS rly lust or maybe there is something more to it!

I liked the first half of question & thats whty I am replying. As per your criteria I have  not overcome lust but you wont find anybody on this forum like that.

Lust is in the mind & you can be free from mind only you become saint.Real saints are rare.What you can try is lustfree hours & then days & so on. I could do it till 2 weeks once. It is very painful process if you follow seriously but also gives you great satisfaction
