How to get rid of mice in the walls?

I've cleaned the closet where they were, but the odor continues. Could they still be inside the walls urinating or something. I killed 5 of them.

Oh I hate when this happens.  We get chipmunks in the walls in the winter and they reside right behind my headboard.  Suckers do not sleep at night.  ARGH.  Not much you can do about them in your walls unless you take out all the drywall.  Try to find out where they are getting in and patch it up good so they can't get in.  When something dies in the wall, we just leave it cause the smell eventually goes away.  If we tried to get the critters out of the walls, we would have to have drywall put up with clips so we can put it up and take it down regularly.

The only other solution is to call an exterminator.

no they have to leave for water - use sunflower seed & rat bait - this is what pest control uses - have been using it every since I  saw how the pest controller used it.  once they eat both they will need water.
