How to get rid of mold?

We are looking at a house to purchase and it has mold issues in the basement. Is it worth buying? How easy is it to get rid of mold? and will it come back?

It is not easy at all to get rid of mold correctly.  Also, most banks will do an inspection of the property before the issue a loan. In MD most banks will not issue a loan if the property has a mold problem.

P.S. Its very expensive to get rid of mold
