OK, less beer, diet and general exercise. But specifically I want to know whether there are any exercises that are particularly effective at reducing mid-torso fat.

  1. I have started taking a suppliment called CLA which along with a good diet and some excercise is meant to target the fat around your midriff.

  2. sit ups.

  3. ok no one here knows what they are talking about. First off let me tell you something. Fat targetting is completely false. In order for you to lose belly fat off your mid torso you will have to lose body fat off EVERYWHERE. A good way to measure your body fat is by checking your body fat % ask your local gym. They should be able to tell you and measure your body fat %.

Right now I sit at 9% body fat. For your abdominals to show completely you need to be 7-9% body fat depending on the person. (Mine dont show completely.) The only way to lower body fat is to burn more then you take in. Remember you have a basal metabalism that burns calories just to maintain body temperture. This is 12-15 calories per pound you weigh. you do the math and then just excerise from there. You will be burning more calories then you take in thus burning fat. Anothe rkey note is to always keep food in your body. Eat every 2 hours. This will prevent your body from going into starvation mode and producing even more fat.

You will notice a super increase in your metablism. I c**p 4-5 times a day from accelerated metablism. To get the best and fasted results you need to start lifting weights 6 days a week and running cardio 4 days a week. Always take sunday off.

  4. If you really want to lose weight, tone up, get fit and live a healthy lifestyle and have a healthy body then you need to do two things. Just two things. They are called EATING HEALTHY AND EXCERCISE!!!!!!!

First of all you have to eat a healthy diet. This doesn't mean go on a crappy fad diet or starve yourself!!! It means that you make sure you eat 4 or even 5 small to medium meals a day. Each meal, apart from breakfast, (preferably fibre rich with fruit) should have a combination of protien (chicken/fish/soya etc), carbohydrates (pasta/rice/potatoes/etc), and vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (fresh fruit and veg). There are many easy ways to incorporate all these into every meal. This also doesn't mean you can never have pizza/takeaway/chocolate/etc, just save them for the occassional treat.

Secondly you do need to EXCERCISE. Cardio excercise is anything that will get you out of breath, your heart rate pumping and you sweating (running, swimming, cycling, etc) and is necessary for burning calories, shedding body fat (including that elusive gut fat!!!) and improving your overall fitness levels. Strength training basicaly improves the muscles and tones your body, this comes from weight training, core training (sit ups/planks/etc), stretching (such as yoga) and dynamic training. This is necessary to keep your body strong and supple and will also help you lose weight and tone up by increasing your metabolism.

This is only an extremely brief overview, but both of these are necessary to lose weight healthily, keep it off, and have a strong healthy body.

  5. sit ups & pull ups and anything that will strain stomach muscles i suppose.. xx

  6. YOU CAN'T CHOOSE WHERE TO LOSE FAT.

ie- Sit-ups don't lose fat from your stomach.

Cardio is the best thing to do. Running is best, rowing, x trainer and bike all combined is relly good.

    20-25 mins a day and yuo'll see a difference.

  7. search google specifically for abdominal excerises, focus on those, they will do wonders. even youtube is great for showing abdominal excersises.

  8. A lot of cardio exercise.  THat will burn off the belly. Don't think that you will see success over night it will take some time, like months.

  9. run and do ab exercises.

  10. Lots and lots of sit ups, and pull ups.

  11. Take a look at "The Truth About Six Pack Abs" (if you can handle the truth, LOL). It's written by someone who knows, and it really helped me to know what's real and what's misinformation. Here's more:

  12. You have to change your lifestyle. Don't think just doing sit ups a few days a week for a couple months is going to change your physique. You have to begin with a steady regimen of exercise and diet and build up your core strength by adding weight training and supplements as you increase your workouts.

You can do it but keep in mind that it requires above all a commitment to change your life and something you must continually remind yourself of each and every day.

    Best of luck.

  13. try this. www.kadimedia.com. it has a gr8 abs program that will tone your beer gut up in no time x
