Does your city have a trash collection day when such articles are taken? We have them several times per year in our area.Sell or give it to a scrap metal dealer or mower repair man for spare parts.

Advertise locally or with flyers stating old junk lawn mower for free. Put a sign in your yard. Alot of people would love to have your junk. Remember one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Put a sign on it that says "free" in big letters and put it by the side of the road--should be gone in a couple days....

Go to freecycle.org and join the local group.  You then will be able to post the lawn mower on there and there is almost always someone looking for one for parts or something!
