Question:

How to get rid of pent up frustrations?

how can i get rid of them in a healthy manner? i have tried hitting a pillow, screaming into a pillow, cutting....etc! i just don't know what else to do! i mean i don't want to hit my bf like i used to...i'm trying to change for him, you know be a little nicer to him!

  1. The advice to 'join a gym' is one of the best for someone like you (I guess we're assuming you don't go to a gym).

    Hitting your boyfriend is not okay!  I'm glad you recognise that because some people I know who struggle with anger do not.  Good on you and that's definitely a start.

    If you work out about an hour a day (doing cardio or something else equally strenuous), you won't have as much energy to be angry as you do now.  Trust me on that one!

    As well as using up energy, the endorphins just make you that bit happier in yourself.  You get a clearer head and feel better for doing the exercise.

  2. Join a gym. Run two miles. Buy a punching bag and bang on it until you get worn out. Run down pedestrians in "Grand Theft Auto IV". Learn a martial art. Go to a ballgame and scream insults at the opposing team's pitcher. Just find something that gets these agressive feelings out of your system in a way that does not harm you or anyone else.
