How to get rid of "open file security warning"?

I just got a new computer and I'm constantly getting this warning when I try to run installer files (.exe) that I've downloaded to my hard drive. My old computer, and this one, both have WinXP Professional. My old one had not run windows update in about 3 months, but the new one has all updates. I was using Firefox 2 to download things on the old one, but Firefox 3 on this new one. In both cases, after downloading, I use My Computer to navigate to the file I downloaded, then I run it, and it gives this warning message about how it doesn't have publisher info, do I really want to run the file.

I never had this warning on my old computer and I want it gone.

  1. sounds like spyware or a virus... try this site, http://delete-virus.com

  2. Cheack the box not to remind you again and turn UAC off, i think you can do it in control panel, i did it ages ago lol soz

  3. this warning is known a cryptographic error , thats telling you this software has not passed microsoft's authentication

the reason for this issue is because the service is not turned on

go to services on your pc    control panel - performance and maintance - administrative tools - service and scroll down to crytopraphics set the service to automatic and turn it on , problem solved

since it was already started stop and restart the service , reboot and you should be good to go
