  1. Slugs like beer (doesn't really matter what kind) and will happily drown themselves in some if you leave out a shallow dish.

You can also track down some diatomaceous earth and sprinkle that around your plants.  It's made up of microscopic shells which the slugs can't crawl on without damaging themselves.

  2. One trick that I've used successfully is to take some small empty cans, such as 8-ounce cat food cans, fill them partway with beer, and set them out in the garden.  The beer aroma attracts the slugs, they drink the beer, and the alcohol kills them.

  3. in the garden? i'm not so sure about that but i found some slugs in the steps outside and my daddy poured some salt on them and they dissolved. however, i'm not sure if the salt might damage your garden....

    hope i helped....

  4. 1.Chuck 'em over the fence.

    2.Slug pellets.

    3.Copper bands round vulnerable plants.

4.A little stale beer in an old saucer.
