My hair was a strawberry blonde color (permanent dye), and i had dyed it a dark dark brown color (permanent dye) underneath to get a two tone look.. we have a hairdressing studio at my school and i was a guinea pig i guess, and decided to get peekaboos (random streaks) of pink throughout my hair. It was apparently temporary color..i can't remember what the company was called.. i think it was something like ARI. it came in a black tube..the color was fuschia..i think it was 'hair gum' or something.. anyways..i put it in my hair in oh..about may..it was suppose to last a maximum of 12 washes..it's august now, and while it has faded drastically there are still some noticable strands of pink. it looks quite terrible because there's just a bunch of random colours in my hair as the blonde is fading, and the brown is too..and the pink just looks terrrible. i find it makes my hair look greasy. i tried everything. one time i washed it like 12 times traight..i know that's not good for the hair but i did it anyways. someone once suggested putting lemon juice in my hair..it worked somewhat. i want to dye my hair again..i was going to go to the hair salon but i want to get the two tone look again or have it dyed one solid colour with natural color peekaboos.. it would cost way too much to get it done at the salon so..i was going to use box dye. does anyone know if i can dye right over the pink..do you think it would turn out or would the pink still be visible. it's not a vibrant pink anymore..it's quite faded.. and does anyone think i can just take a colour darker than the brown and dye my whole head that colour and it'll cover up all the existing dye?
