How to get rid of the oil stains in the kitchen?

Is there a better way to clean oil stains in the pan and the stove? Or what kind of cleanser do you think has a better effect? Thank you.

baking soda is a wonderful substance to use as well  it is non abrasive and it cleans great. ( no scratches)  also baking soda will absorb oil as well. You could use it in conjunction with a dish soap such as dawn. like the previous suggester stated

You could try Grease Magnet available at Home Depot, Walmart etc.
