How to get rid of this virus????

Question

After using the net for a while, my screen resolution automatically becomes big (640-480). My computer has got symantec anti-virus software which i update regularly but it doesn't seem to detect this virus. Should I format the system for getting rid of the virus? Can anybody help me out with the problem?

Just Right-click the desktop and click properties then change the resolution back to normal.

Besides Norton Internet Security (which is installed with my windows vista), I also run AVG 8.0.  It eliminates viruses that Norton doesn't.  And I needed to install Spybot search & destroy too in order to clean my hard disk.  I strongly recommend to do an overall clean up of your system with these softwares, and also with 1Cleanup.

No AV works 100% therefore from time to time do a free online scan to see if you AV missing anything (this is safe):

Then figure out whats wrong with Norton, it could be that the virus has already compromise norton.

I've had Norton AV before and my computer would hang up about twice a year because of stuff it wouldn't stop.  Even maintaining the license was a problem.

AVG antivirus is a free anti-virus for personal use.  I've used it for 3 years and I haven't had any problems.  There are other protections you need too.
