How to get rid of virus from mp3 player?

There seems to be a virus in my mp3 player. I have Avira AntiVir software and when I scan my player it does not detect any viruses though when I try to open it anti-virus software tells that there is a virus and does not allow me to access the player. Does anyone have any suggestion how I could get rid of that virus?

Could be malware, run Malwarebytes or enter.. 'mrt' ..into the run commands and scan for malware with windows, but its not very reliable.

I didn't know u could get viruses on your mp3 player :O

Thats the first i've heard of that

Ermm what i would do is maybe reset your mp3 player if u can or delete evrey single song on there, and put them all on again, and find out what song has got the virus on?

Easy! if it aint an ipod and ur using windows right clik the MP3 player in "My Computer" and click format. Then you can load all of your songs back on it. MAKE SURE TO BACK IT UP!

Interesting concept.  It's probably your firewall refusing to allow a connection through the USB port.  Check the options menu.

If all else fails, reformat the mp3 player and start again.

Wow how did you get a virus on your Mp3 player? Surely you must have got it from a computer you connected to in which case SURELY using my feeble-logic-based understanding of computers, the computer must have been infected too?

Just plug it via usb to any laptop / desktop that regularly update the antivirus program.

Scan the mp3 player using anti virus that available.

That's all. NO NEED TO REFORMAT the mp3 player.

Or click at TOOLs - Unhide all files and operating system.

Now all the suspected files will reveal.

Delete if possible.

If not possible, Download Pocket Killbox and RUN it.

Select the mp3 partion and now u can see the files and delete it. Delete on reboot (Recommended)
