My brother found of that there are wasps and a wasps nest right outside his window in his room. But the problem is we live in an "four-plex" apartment and we live on the second floor, which is like 30 feet high. How do we get ride of the warps? We've tried knocking it down by just hitting the window but they just come right back. How do you get rid of them?

  1. this is your landlords problem.

  2. Verdugo: Get the landlord to do it.

  3. try water hose with high pressure nozzel.

throw ballon water bombs til you you hit the bullseye>

    goodluck

  4. Take a short pc. of broom handle, sturdy pc of wood, etc. Calculate how long you need to cut this pc. of wood to reach the nest from your window.

Now purchase a large aerosal can of wasp and hornet spray.

Use duct tape and tape the can to the stick so when it is spraying it will hit the nest. Usually one of these cans will spray for about 2 minutes before it is empty.

Get a couple large bath towels and have them ready.

Take a 8" pc. of duct tape and have it ready to tape the plunger button down on the wasp spray.

    OK you're ready

You will quietly raise up the bottom sash of the window - then hold the can outside the window spraying away from the nest - now tape down the sprayer tip so it sprays - shut the window and stuff the towels around the sides of the stick. Now rotate the stick so the sprayer soaks the nest, keep spraying until the can is empty. Move the spray around to get as much of the nest as possible - don't worry about hitting the flying wasps - just concentrate on the nest.

Leave the window down until the wasps quit flying then raise window-bring in the stick -remove towels and shut window.

Practice this a couple of times on another window.

  5. Home depot sells lightbulb changer poles that extend..

    A ladder and a broom...(Be careful!)

    A good old sneaker throw...

    A hose?

  6. This is the landlords issue, or body corporate if you own the unit, but if you can not spray it safely... I had one outside my bedroom window hanging off the eaves so I leaned out the window with a big coffee can put it under the nest, cut the stringy bit it was hanging from, and super super fast I used the lid to slam it down into the can sealing the nasties in the process, naturally you have to be SUPER careful as they are vicious, and will attack, don't try if you don't feel you can do it 100% safely wasp stings are sooo painful.

  7. Just tell him or her about the problem. Or you can make wasp traps out of a plastic bottle. I use to do the old lighter and hair spray trick.

  8. You could get a ladder and some bug spray..... The same happened to me.

  9. wasp spray

  10. If you leave them alone they won't bother you. We have several wasp nests around our house, one right at the back door, and we never get stung. Put some screens on the windows to keep them out of the house and they'll be gone after nesting season is over.

  11. spray the thing with water using one of those hose gun things with the different settings (shower, mist, cone), and use stream, and run like h**l away from it.
