well tell her everyone is scared at first but when you do it it feels so good!

  2. Everyone deals with stage fright but you can learn to control it. If she is performing onstage, when she gets applause she should realize what she is doing is right and everyone will still respect you for getting up there and doing it. The people in the audience don't realize how long you have worked but you should know that they deserve to see what you have been perfecting for a long time. That's how I got over stage fright on my first ever show.

  3. I imagine myself in the audience. I know it sounds dumb but it works. When you try to focus on one person, then you end up staring down the individual and it looks weird, and theres something about picturing everyone in their underwear that seems vaguely...chippendale dancer-esque to me. When I'm sitting in an audience, I either am impressed or shrug off the ones that aren't as good. Nobody cares really if you suck or not. Be sure to tell your friend though, that if your going to suck, do it with confidence. If you are timid and quiet on stage, than no matter how goo dyou are in private, than your not going to be able to sustain any sort of voice or energy. At least pretend to be confident, be as loud as you can, it's better to be too loud than not loud enough. If your acting, than just try to forget that the audience is there, put in that missing forth wall in your mind, picture what's on the wall, what sort of wall paper or pictures?

You have to get on stage for anyone to notice you. The worst that can happen is people will remember you. good or bad, isn't that better than living invisably?

Best of luck! It really is one of the best htings in the world to do, be on stage.

  4. For performance anxiety (stage fright) "valerian root" would tend to minimize those symptoms http://www.woodwind.org/clarinet/Study/V...

In the US valerian is sold as a nutritional supplement and can be obtained over-the-counter.

  5. She'll never get over it, and that's a good thing. Makes a performer's work on the stage sharper and more targeted. No one ever gets over stage fright, they just learn how to mask it.
